Mission & Purpose
Paglia Training Center provides our senior community with excellence in care and support. In addition, our goal is to reinforce our standards of care through education and training specific to industry trends.
Owner
Lynn Paglia, Founding Partner and CFO brings over 25 years of business experience including her role as President of Golden Heart Senior Care (GHSC) in Oakland NJ. GHSC is a growing in-home senior care company that focuses on making sure each client receives the highest level of compassionate and attentive care possible. Lynn has a background in health and nutrition, having received her master’s degree from NYU in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is an advocate for promoting healthy habits in seniors.
Program Descriptions
CHHA Class
The program has been designed to provide a basic level of both knowledge and clinical skills to individuals who will provide home health aide related services. The complete course shall be for a total of 76 hours, including 60 online education and 16 clinical classroom experience.
The program shall be conducted over a duration of three (3) weeks for all online education and three (3) days for clinical classroom instruction. The time frames specified are all based on the inclusion of both classroom and clinical, however, shall be subject to change due to holidays and/or unexpected occurrences which are out of the control of the institution.
The program will maintain a minimum of six (6) enrollments for a course to begin. Each class shall not exceed ten (10) students per instructor for the classroom clinical training.
If the start date of classes is rescheduled, each student shall be notified by US Mail, phone or email. For class cancellation due to inclement weather, sickness or other unforeseen circumstance, notification shall be provided by phone and/or e-mail.
As per regulatory guidelines, each student shall participate in the use of equipment such as wheelchairs and Hoyer lift.
CNA to CHHA Conversion Class
The program has been designed to provide a basic level of both knowledge and clinical skills to individuals who will provide home health aide related services. The complete course shall be for a total of ten (10) classroom hours.
The program shall be conducted over a duration of two (2) days, (5) hours each day. Days and times shall be subject to change due to unexpected occurrences which are out of the control of the institution.
The program will maintain a minimum of three (3) enrollments for a course to begin. Each class shall not exceed ten (10) students per instructor for the classroom clinical training.

Program Objective
To provide a basic level of both knowledge and clinical skills for individuals to provide home care services to residents in private homes.
Upon completion of the program and meeting all requirements for graduation set for in the Conversion Training Program, the student shall receive a Certificate of Completion at graduation.
Training Program Equipment
As a requirement, the Home Health Aide training program shall ensure that appropriate equipment is available on-site for direct use and demonstration for all students with the supervision of the program instructor.
Enrollment
Each prospective student will be required to complete the enrollment process, which includes the review of this admission packet, completed application, hold harmless agreement, student attestation, required documentation and payment/deposit for the program.
Admission Requirements
Your admission to the Conversion Training Program is subject to meeting the requirements as set out in the Paglia Training Center procedures for registration and enrollment. You must comply with the terms and conditions set out in this document, the provisions of the New Jersey Board of Nursing ordinances, regulations, guidelines, rules, policies and codes of practice that are currently in force, which govern your studies and learning at the training center.
At a minimum, to qualify for this course, you must provide at the time of registration:
• Age 18 or older
• High School diploma or verifiable prior work experience
• Signed passport photo, 2” X 2” in size of the applicant’s head and shoulders
• Social security card
• Immigration status proof (if applicable)
Not withstanding the above, a student’s enrollment and completion of the program does not guarantee employment.
Application Procedures
In addition to the admission criteria, each student shall be required to follow the standard application procedures to ensure all policies and terms of the program are met in accordance with the institution and NJ Department of Nursing.
The individual shall contact the agency representative to obtain information regarding availability for the scheduled classes, pricing and payment options. The institution shall e-mail or mail materials to the individual and/or provide information for on-site inquiries.
All students shall review the terms of the admission catalog prior to registration. Upon all parties being satisfied with the terms of the program and to secure a placement with the said scheduled program, the student shall sign and return the application, hold harmless agreement, student attestation, provide all relative documentation as listed in the admission requirements and pay the required deposit. The student shall receive a receipt of payment and will be assigned class days and times.
Fee Schedule
The Home Health Aide training program will consist of 60 hours of online education and 16 hours of direct classroom instruction, training and education. The following reflects the fees associated with the program including relevant charges/provisions of which the student is responsible:
Total Due: $450.00 (Due in full at time of registration) Fees listed above include 60 hours of online instruction, and 16 hours of clinical classroom instruction. Not included are any textbooks and any licensing fees due to the State of New Jersey.
Textbooks with supplemental information can be purchased for $25.
Student shall be responsible to pay for any other fees associated with the processing of individual certification, including the licensing fee to the State of New Jersey Department of Nursing.

Program Credits
Paglia Training Center does not grant/accept official transcripts of credits earned from other institutions previously attended for the Conversion Training Program, nor does the institution claim that credits are available through completion of the Conversion Training Program to be transferred to another institution.
Job Placement Assistance
Through the enrollment of the Conversion Training Program, Paglia Training Center does not provide job placement assistance to students and/or graduates; furthermore, the institution does not guarantee employment to the student upon the completion and graduation of the program.
Student Complaints
All students have the right to file a complaint in good faith. In most cases, complaints should be filed with the staff and management of Paglia Training Center, LLC. Complaints may also be filed with the New Jersey Board of Nursing in Newark, NJ.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Payment in full is due at the time of enrollment. Payment will be refunded, less a $25 administrative fee, if cancellation is received in writing 14 days before the first day of class. There are no refunds if cancellation is received less than 14 days before the first day of class. The applicant may reschedule for another class for up to 6 months from the original start date due to unforeseen circumstances.
